I first played Mystic Messenger back in 2016, when the game came out. But now that i’m a college student in quarantine and I actually have a lot of time on my hands, I decided to go back and play.
I had never done Ray’s route, the last time I played was when V’s route came out so I saw this as the perfect opportunity to do it. It’s honestly so fun and nostalgic to play one of my favorite games again, and Ray’s route is already tearing my heart into pieces 💔
So I just wanted to see if anyone else in a similar situation, rediscovering this game because of the coronavirus. I guess there is some light in dark times!
Not sure if this has been posted before or not. But it looks like people are blending tea fit for the game characters :D
I just ordered a Jumin Han sample tin because I like the idea of vanilla and cherries in my tea: https://www.adagio.com/signature_blend/blend.html?blend=146256
Though I think there is another blend for Jumin aside from this one!
Guys, I just finished 7’s route after doing Yoosung’s and Zen’s. Seven has solidified himself as Bae of The Game and I’m not sure if anyone can top him in emotional investment. None of my friends have played V’s or Ray’s route so I can’t really ask for their experience. Please give me your thoughts on Jaehee, Jumin, Ray, or V’s to see if I should plan to pursue the other members.
If Mystic Messenger was adapted into an anime series/movie would you watch it? I know I would.
I'm currently about to finish Zen's route....and I learned alot about the reset rumor and I really do love Zen so my question is when I'm done with his route should I even continue playing and not reset....should I reset like is they're more to the story or should I just walk away.......oh and another question can someone please tell me more about the reset rumor
Am I the only one who likes Zen Jumin (or literally every other character) as soft guys more? Like I see some very weird fanart and memes of them and I'm like... I just wanna hug them okAY
707: S stands for... s u c c u l e n t
Yoosung: I have the entire LOLOL* player handbook with me right now
*originl was DnD
Zen: oh my god sksksksksksk
Jumin: I had the right answer for everything, you guys just didn't trust me
Jaehee: stop saying "and I oop" in the chatroom
Saeran: y'know what fuck TikTok I'm gonna go kill myself
Rika: come join our cult >:D
Oh my god I’m gonna binge the whole game tonight if this doesn’t get patched...
Edit: 707 just called Yoosung a yandere. I hope I’m not gonna get the bad route lmao... ;;;
Edit 2: So apparently you can get banned for changing the time to access chat rooms. Don’t do this lmao
Like do you do follow a ritual or schedule while playing? Where do you usually play the game?
For me, I mostly play when I don't have anything to do for days. In other words, I have to make it my priority. It's gonna be hard for me to play while I have work and studies to take care of. I mostly play inside my room. By the time a notification appears, I lock the doors and curl up in my bed. lol. I also set an alarm for the 3 AM chat and then 8 AM for the morning chats. I try my best not to miss a single chat because of the calls I might miss. I also save and use a lot of slots while playing. When I'm not sure of what I'm about to choose or decide, I save the game first. If I feel like I made the wrong decision, I go back to that saved slot. Same thing goes with certain party guests. There was a rare moment where I had to skip two days playing (Seven's route). So I saved a slot and load it again so I don't have to use a lot of HGs for the missed days/chats. I don't follow a guide. Well, I don't really follow any guide when I play a game. When I feel stuck and desparate, I ask someone for one thing only. In my case, I joined this subreddit for the first time and asked if the amount of party guest I got will affect the ending. When people share posts about certain calls, I ask them what route, day, and time so I can take note of it and set a reminder when I play that route. lol. When I played Casual Story and Deep Story (minus Seven), I always go to a coffee shop for the last day (12 PM). I basically play the ending while drinking coffee and setting my phone to record the gameplay (my Samsung phone has a built in feature to record while playing). It just became a thing for some reason. I didn't do it when I played Seven's route 'cause I was a total mess. The whole route made me a mess. I wasn't sure if I'm gonna get a good ending and I don't want to go out looking like I just went through a bad break up. lol. That was a good call. Even though I never got a bad ending (minus the prologue with Unknown), Seven's route had me feeling all over the place. Lastly, I set up a whole plan on when to play a certain route or DLC based on how my account is or will be. My goal is get the best experience of the app itself with enough interval to enjoy and think of the gameplay one at a time without dragging things too long. Like I don't want to spend months without playing the game just because and then cram two or three routes in just one month. At first, it was only on... keep reading on reddit ➡
I love this otome game to pieces, it is one of my favourite visual novels of all time. The characters and story were so approachable, fun and engaging that I almost instantly fell in love with it.
But now, 6 months on from the shitstorm of the VAE, Cheritz has given us nothing of value. We had the occasional anniversary event but no new content nor news of any future developments. Whether they have lost faith entirely or just biding their time, it doesn't matter.
Goodbye and may you rest in peace.
i need help, i want to do Zens route because he is hot- i mean he seems like an interesting character but i missed out some charts with him. is it possible to complete the Zen story even if you missed a couple of chatrooms with him?? i started to get paranoid that i wont be able to see his beautiful face after i finish.
Rest in Honey Buddha Chips May God Seven always watch over you T^T
I've just finished Kuroyuki's route in Nightshade (only have Gekkamaru left) and guys, I'm feeling dead inside. There is so much angst in this game, that even when I get the good endings, it really, really brings me down! I think I'll stop for now and go play some Mario Kart :p
The last game that had the same effect on me was MM, after I finished the main 5 routes. Put me in a funk for a few days and I still haven't finished it as a result (although I loved it!)
I'm curious: have you experienced the same thing after certain games/routes? Which ones?
And if so, which games/routes did you play afterwards to feel all warm and fuzzy inside again? Asking for a friend ;)
I don’t mean ingame, but when chatting with other people.
